國際合作方面，中印在一些重大的國際問題上存在著相同或近似的觀點。例如，對世界多極化趨勢，對維護發展中國家的權益和建立公正合理的國際政治經濟新秩序，對科索沃戰爭，對美國攻打伊拉克。

In respect of the cooperation in international affairs, China and India had same or similar views on some major international issues. For example, China and India had similar views on the trend of multi-polarization, safeguarding rights and interests of developing nations, building a new international political and economic order that was fair and rational, the views on the Kuwait War and the view on the Iraq War.

民間往來，包括學術交流增多，對增加相互瞭解，推動兩國關係向前發展起著重要的作用。

The increase of non-governmental contacts, including the academic exchange played an important role in enhancing mutual understanding and boosting the development of bilateral relations.

當然，中印關係的發展不總是一帆風順的。兩國關係中還存著一些問題，例如，邊界問題、西藏問題、中國與巴基斯坦的關係問題，有的是歷史遺留的問題，有的是冷戰時期造成的問題，還有一些缺乏互信造成的疑慮等等。在這些問題上也取得了一定程度的進展。

Of course, the development of Sino-India relation did not always run smooth. There were some problems in the relationship between these two countries such as the border issues, Tibet issues and the problem of China’s relations with Pakistan. Some were problems left over by history, some were problems caused by Cold War, others were doubts caused by the lack of trust. It was lucky that we made certain progress of these issues.
